Fall always carries a special energy: fresh starts, renewed ambitions, a sense that things are moving again. For me, it marks two years at BrightWolves, and it feels like the right moment to look back at a journey that has stretched me and taught me a lot.
I began by diving straight into the deep end: my first assignment was working directly with the CFO of a BEL20 multinational. I supported the three-year budgeting exercises and prepared weekly financial updates for the Executive Committee. The bar was high. Getting direct feedback from a CFO with two decades of experience leaves little room for approximation. It pushed me to master the consultant’s toolbox quickly: Excel modelling, PowerPoint storytelling, and clear stakeholder communication.
Next came my first CDD. I supported a private equity investor during an acquisition in the software space. New context, new pace, new learning curve. I had to get comfortable switching lenses fast, from product to commercial to financial, while keeping a structured approach.
For the past year, I have been on my third project, this time in the public sector. The work revolves around a series of “management requests” across the value chain. I build business cases to assess viability, run technical analyses, scout potential solutions, and act as project manager during implementation. It is a broad role that blends analysis and delivery, which I really enjoy.
What truly makes the difference is the team. At BrightWolves, you are surrounded by people who share, support and challenge you every day. Being part of a human-sized firm means you get real responsibility and real help when it matters. The group dynamic is genuine, and it shows in how we work and grow together.
Two years in, I am grateful for the trust, the learning and the impact. I am excited about what comes next and the opportunities to keep building, with and for our clients.
If you are curious about BrightWolves or about consulting early in your career, I am happy to share more over a coffee or a quick call.
