BrightWolves: Celebrating Seven Years of Impact and Growth

Today, BrightWolves celebrates its seventh anniversary, so time to rewind and revisit the origins of our journey. What sparked our vision? Which bold decisions laid the groundwork?


BrightWolves emerged from an organic growth journey in which sound strategic thinking was combined with the highs and lows, successes and setbacks that are typical for entrepreneurial ventures, all of which have shaped us into the purpose-driven team we are today.  


Join us as we reflect on how a dedicated team, driven by a shared ambition, turned an idea into the company we are today. 


Visionary Beginnings 

BrightWolves’ journey began in 2004 under the name Quanteus, when Kris Vansanten identified a gap in the consulting world — an opportunity to create a firm that didn’t just offer top strategy advice but delivered meaningful, lasting change. With a focus on high-impact business transformations, Kris set out to build a consultancy that was agile, hands-on, and truly committed to client success. 


In 2007, Evelyne van Wassenhove joined the journey, and together they expanded the firm’s capabilities, leading to the addition of QuantIM, leveraging independent strategy consultants with interim transformation managers and consultants. This offering combined strategic consulting with a network of seasoned professionals focused on implementation. It was a strategy that allowed the firm to establish a strong reputation, helping it weather the 2008 financial crisis and secure major clients like Euroclear, Proximus and BNP Paribas Fortis.  

 

This approach helped Quanteus establish a solid reputation, but as the years passed, Kris and Evelyne understood that something more was needed to achieve sustainable growth. While the independent professionals were highly skilled and delivered excellent results, their focus was primarily on individual client engagements rather than on building a group with a cohesive culture or driving the company’s long-term vision and overall growth. 


Redefining Leadership and Culture 

By 2017, it was clear that a shift was necessary. Despite the firm’s profitability and impactful projects, Kris and Evelyne realised that continuing this path would limit the company’s potential.  

 

Building on the success of The House of Marketing they had acquired in 2014, Kris and Evelyne decided to shift the focus from the network of independent professionals to building a strong internal team of young, quantitative and ambitious profiles — those who were passionate, aligned with the INSPIRE values, and eager to unlock the full potential of others.   

 

When Miguel Van Damme joined the adventure early 2018, his authenticity, low-key profile, and honesty stood out. His commitment to three key priorities—attracting and developing talent, building a strong client portfolio, and driving profitable growth—made him the perfect fit for this transformative role. 

 

And so, BrightWolves was born. Choosing the name BrightWolves symbolised our commitment to empowering young ambitious top talent and fostering a collaborative, non-hierarchical culture. As you know, a Wolf never hunts alone. 

 

As BrightWolves evolved, so too did its leadership, embodying our commitment to sustained impact and future growth. From the early days, experienced professionals like Sven, Peter-Jan, and Valentine have been pivotal in establishing BrightWolves as a consulting firm built on resilience and purpose. Alongside them, Marnik — who joined BrightWolves at the start of his career — has grown with the company, contributing invaluable dedication and insight.


In recent years, we’ve expanded our leadership team with the addition of dynamic figures like Antoine, Joris, Florent, Philip, and Jonathan, each bringing fresh expertise and perspectives. Together, they strengthen BrightWolves’ mission to build a more resilient future for our clients, talents, society and future generations. 

 

Finding the Right Spot in a Crowded Market 

In a crowded consulting industry, BrightWolves set out to do things differently. Our approach goes beyond advice — we partner with clients from strategy to implementation, focusing on hands-on, pragmatic solutions that drive real impact. Recognising a gap for consulting that combines strategic insight with operational execution, we built a team that is as adept at high-level vision as it is at rolling up sleeves to get things done. 


Our culture has been instrumental in this differentiation. At BrightWolves, every team member is encouraged to take ownership, innovate, and drive change. This commitment to initiative and collaboration has helped us establish a high-energy, entrepreneurial spirit that defines our firm. Each person, from business analysts to experienced hires, plays an active role in shaping our work, creating a dynamic environment where ideas are valued, and growth is continuous. 


A Vibrant Rebranding 

By 2021, BrightWolves had outgrown its startup roots and embarked on a rebranding journey that reflected its growth and evolving mission. This rebranding was more than a change in appearance; it embodied our energy, commitment to innovation, and ambitious vision for the future. Drawing on insights from clients, colleagues, and team members, the rebranding process was a collaborative effort that culminated in a launch across all touchpoints by September 2022. The new BrightWolves brand, reinforced our identity across all touchpoints and aligned with our purpose to drive impactful consulting. 


From Vision to Action: Our Beyond Consulting Charter 

Through our work, we continue to build on our expertise in sustainable and digital transformation, all while remaining true to the guiding principles of our Beyond Consulting Charter. This dedication has also driven our international growth, bringing our vision and expertise to South Africa and The Netherlands.

And we’re excited to keep moving forward with the same drive and ambition that has been at our core from the beginning.
