As a Data Engineer, you’ll be part of a new data venture associated to BrightWolves and work in an entrepreneurial, supportive and unique environment.

We are building a strong team of data, solution and software engineers to support our growth in the areas of sustainability analytics, data integration systems and advanced analytics. We look for self-propelling professionals; we love to empower, co-create and challenge each other (this is how we grow, get things done and enjoy the journey together !).

You will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to our data integration and management platform, as well as the engineering and the development of a new application aimed at assessing the impact of industrial activities on the environment. You’ll also ensure that the system is maintained and operates optimally when deployed at our clients.

BrightWolves, is a successful management consulting firm with a unique culture founded in 2017. BrightWolves focuses on accompanying clients through their business, sustainable and digital transformations – from strategy to implementation.

Our new data venture, focused on IT solution development for our clients, will work in close collaboration with BrightWolves – sharing, among other, the value and culture of the enterprise. We are supported by seasoned, successful entrepreneurs and recognized technical experts.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

  • You will conceptualize and create infrastructures that allow (big) data to be accessed and analysed

  • You will stretch your problem-solving skills in a demanding environment, while receiving outstanding coaching from senior engineers.

  • You will reformulate existing frameworks to optimize their functioning, and you will be testing such structures to ensure they are fit for use.

  • You will prepare raw data for manipulation by Data Scientists

  • You will ensure the continuous improvements and maintenance of the applications – including staying up to date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your outputs.

YOUR PROFILE

  • A demonstrated interest for developing innovative data solutions (indicate examples).

  • Recently graduate from an engineering school in computer science or a related field (Master or PhD).

  • 0-5 years’ professional experience.

  • Outstanding academic credentials.

  • Creative and self-propelling.

  • Ready to learn fast and be challenged every day.

  • Ready to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and supportive environment.

  • A solid practical knowledge of Python (Java and Scala are a plus).

  • A good command of database technologies such as PostgreSQL (Mongodb or Couchdb are a plus).

  • An understanding of web frameworks (such as Flask), and dashboard packages (such as Dash).

  • Willingness to work in Belgium

  • Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French
